Earlier this year, in March, a worker lost his life while working near the France Pavilion at the Epcot Center, located in the Walt Disney World Resort. Reportedly, the incident occurred early in the morning in an area where HVAC pipes were being installed. The worker suffered life-threatening crush injuries, and emergency services rushed him to an area hospital. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health has launched an investigation to determine exactly what occurred and the level of compliance with safety regulations on the construction site. Violations will lead to citations and possible fines.
